Behavioral Health and Social Worker/Case Manager
Senior Services of Southwest Michigan is seeking to fill a Behavioral Health Social Worker/Case Manager position. This is a full-time position. The position will provide direct case management behavioral health services by assessing and planning, linking, monitoring, advocating, and responding to psychiatric and medical emergencies of mentally ill persons over 55 years of age who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization without on-going support and intervention
Chef (Battle Creek)
Senior Services Southwest Michigan is seeking a qualified candidate for a fulltime Chef/Kitchen Supervisor. The Chef/Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of staff and the production of high quality, safe, timely, and cost-effective meals for seniors and catered clients. The Chef/Kitchen Supervisor will also be responsible for the implementation and oversight of food production processes, including procurement of food and supplies, quality control, staff training, delivery coordination, food safety, equipment safety, and physical safety in the day to day operation of the kitchen. In addition, the Chef is responsible for the planning, cooking and supervision of catered events. This position also works closely with the Sous Chef and Banquet supervisor on issues related to menu development and implementation, process improvement and staff development.
Agency Administrative Assistant
This is a full-time (37.5 hrs. per week) non-exempt position. Responsibilities include: Present a professional, welcoming first contact to all customers, funders, vendors, board/committee members and staff by phone, in person and through e-mail; Responsible for organizational functions and general meeting, board, and committee meeting support including: arranging, follow up calls, scheduling meetings and rooms, securing food and supplies and preparing meeting documents. Records minutes for all meetings and transcribes and distributes; Provide clerical support for President/CEO, COO, Marketing/Communications, Human Resources, and QA/QI; Problem-solving of routine issues at the request of the President/CEO; Filing; Field questions and requests from staff, board/committee members, volunteers, and the general public to facilitate the needs of those involved; Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies for agency; Provide support to agency staff to manage the flow of information between the various sites and departments of the organization.
Friendship Center Coordinator - Substitute
This part-time position will be responsible for set-up, serving, and clean up of lunch-time meals at a congregate senior meal site (Friendship Center). Our congregate sites also offer educational and/or recreational programs for our customers. Must be available to work during the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This is the perfect job for someone looking to work only a few hours a week.
Certified Nurse’s Aide
This is a part-time CNA position performing personal care and homemaking tasks for homebound elders in Kalamazoo County. You'll also serve as a link between the customer and the registered nurse. Duties include assisting with customer’s assessment and planning; assisting with meeting customer’s nutrition and elimination needs; assisting with customer’s mobility; assisting with customer’s personal hygiene and grooming; and, assisting with promoting customer safety and environmental cleanliness.
Home Care Aide
Senior Services of Southwest Michigan is looking for qualified candidates to fill several part-time Home Care Aide positions available immediately. In this position, you must have the availability to work a variety of hours, based on our customers’ needs, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and/or evenings. Current positions offer an average of 20+ hours per week, but more hours may be available for those willing to work throughout Kalamazoo County. The ability to work overnight hours a plus!
